Olive is looking for a very special home

Meet Olive who came in a while back with her siblings, all full of cat flu. Unfortunately she had a very badly infected eye, and it had to be removed.
She has been in foster since her siblings were adopted, and is now ready for a forever home of her own. She will need to be kept as a house cat but would love to have another cat friend.

I came to the sanctuary with my three siblings (all rehomed in November 2018). We came in after a kind woman found us as very young poorly stray kittens near a busy road and was concerned for our health and safety. Unfortunately, I was the unlucky one and had a severely infected right eye caused by cat flu and possible trauma, which I had to have emergency veterinary treatment for to have my eye removed. I was only a little dot of a kitten at the time at only about 7 weeks old! I had to recover on my own and I showed my carers what a sweet and brave little girl I am. At the time, it was uncertain as to whether I would have to have further surgery on my eye socket after having the eye taken out so young and only time would tell. After a week of recovery, I was able to be with my siblings again and play like a normal kitten! All my siblings were then rehomed and I was left alone but luckily for me my lovely foster mommy Becky (animal carer) decided to take me home and foster me until it was certain that I didn't need another operation on my eye and until I was old enough to be spayed. 3 months on and fortunately, I have not had to have further surgery and had the all clear from the vet. I do also have a slight cloudy mark on my left eye possibly caused by trauma. I do still have vision from this eye but my focus is not that good and I do sometimes bump into things and it can cause me to make the wrong judgements when I move about. I will need to be rehomed as a house cat because of my limited vision. I will also need to be rehomed to a home with an existing house cat/s for company. My foster mommy Becky has two older male kittens and I absolutely love to play and snuggle up with them. They adore me too of course! I have shown that I love the company of other cats and as a kitten, myself I would love to go to a home with a cat or cats for company that will love me back! I could also live with a cat friendly dog as I currently live with a lovely Great Dane in my foster home and I am fine with her. I am a friendly girl and a typical playful kitten with a little cheeky side. I am now ready to find my forever home.

I am still in my foster home and not here at the sanctuary so if you are interested in me then please contact us here at the sanctuary to arrange a day/time to come and meet me.
