Our Team

Our Board
Our charity is governed by a board of Trustees comprised of:

Patricia Bernie  Mohammed Mourad Hassan Labib  David Scott  Katrina Palmer  Jason Waine

They dedicate their own time, expertise and the benefit of their professional knowledge on a voluntary basis and are ultimately responsible for the vision, mission, good governance and management of the charity.

All of our Trustees are passionate about animal welfare and are committed to our sustainability and development.

Between them they have a wealth of business experience with specialist skills in law, veterinary knowledge, project management, HR, and international animal welfare.

Would YOU be interested in becoming a trustee?

Trustee Directors serve on a voluntary/unpaid basis and the work can be demanding in terms of time.   For this reason, the position would ideally suit someone who has free time available; for example a retired person.

Our current Board members have a range of different skills and we would be very pleased to hear from anyone who feels they have a specific skill to offer us.  However, a common sense approach and a keenness to support the Sanctuary are the most important things we are looking for.

If anyone is interested and would like further information, please don’t hesitate to contact me, David Scott, on 07905 565730.  Alternatively, please contact the Sanctuary directly on 01564 823288 e mail on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I, or one of the other Trustee Directors, will get back to you.

Our Staff & Volunteers
Our charity is operated by a hardworking, passionate team of staff and volunteers, led by Centre Manager Ross Howard.

Our animal care team have achieved high levels of professional qualifications in animal welfare and have decades of combined knowledge and experience working with a wide range of animals. We have specialists who lead on specific types of animals and we regularly use the services of external behavioural experts for dog rehabilitation.  We are also lucky enough to have a fantastic shop manager who looks after our loyal, dedicated team of shop volunteers.

They are supported by a team of office staff who look after our fundraising, finances, marketing and customer service.

We couldn’t help as many animals as we do without our team of volunteers who we rely on for regular help with animal care, office support and fundraising.

Everyone plays vitally important roles to ensure our sustainability and development so we can care for as many animals as possible.
