Piper

Piper

Hi, my name is Piper and I am a GSD cross who is almost 1 and a half years old.

I came in to the Sanctuary as my owners felt I was not coping well in the home with the 2 other large dogs.  They could sometimes be quite dominant which meant I was finding it quite stressful.  I am a still a very young girl who is full of life and very bouncy! I will need to continue work when it comes to training.  My carers are working on my recall, walking a little nicer on the lead and helping with my jumping up.  I am very sweet and affectionate and just love cuddles and being as close to people as possible.  I am very friendly with everyone I meet.  I have previously lived with children, and could live with children around 10+, but they would need to be OK with boisterous, lively dogs.

When I first came to the Sanctuary, I really did not cope very well and was very stressed.  I have since been moved to a quieter area, and I am now much calmer and happier.  I have also been gaining much needed weight.  When I first came in and was introduced to dogs, I either did not get on with them, or was just very over the top with them.  I have been tried again more recently, and I am now much happier around most dogs and have even made a play friend here.  My carers feel I could possibly live with another dog that was a young male, and would play with me. I am not good with cats or small animals.  I am looking for active owners who are around for a lot of the day, and also who are willing to continue to do training with me.

I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flead, wormed and health checked. If you would like to meet me, please come up to the Sanctuary.
